Makaton Taster Workshop £15
Makaton Taster Sessions £15.00
At the Taster Session you will learn up to 34 signs from Stages 1 and 2 of the Core Vocabulary and a further 12 concepts in symbols and signs which will have an Early Years focus, ending the session with a fun singing and signing nursery song/rhyme.
A Makaton Taster Session is a 90-minute fun, interactive and informal session. It gives you an opportunity to find out more about Makaton to help you decide whether further Makaton training is appropriate for you.
It is recommended for families who are interested in using Makaton with their children at home, as well as for staff in an educational setting who are interested in using Makaton with children.
You will receive handouts for the signs and symbols you have covered in the Taster Session and a Certificate of Attendance. No previous knowledge or experience of Makaton is needed.
Makaton Level 1 Workshop £85
Makaton Level 1 Workshop £85
This workshop is recommended for families who use Makaton at home, as well as for staff in educational, health, care and leisure settings who interact with children and adults who use Makaton to help them communicate.
It provides a practical introduction to the Makaton Language Programme, tips for effective use of both signs and symbols, and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations.
On the workshop, you will learn the signs and symbols from Stages 1 and 2 of the Core Vocabulary and part of the Additional Stage. This workshop is divided into two days, 3-4 hours on each day, or over 3 evenings.
You will receive a Participant’s Manual which includes the presentation materials as well as all the signs and symbols for the vocabulary covered in the workshop.
You will also receive a Certificate of Attendance. You will need to keep the certificate if you wish to further Makaton training such as Level 2.

Level 2 Workshop £85
Level 2 Workshop £85.00
On the Level 2 Workshop, you will learn the signs and symbols from Stages 3 and 4 and complete the Additional Vocabulary.
This workshop will be divided into two days, 3 to 4 hours on each day.
It is recommended for families and early years practitioners who are interested in taking Makaton to the next level.
You will receive a Participant’s Manual which includes the presentation materials as well as all the signs and symbols for the vocabulary covered in the workshop.
You will also receive a Certificate of Attendance. You will need to keep the certificate if you wish to further Makaton training such as Level 3.

Makaton Signing for Babies Workshop £60
Makaton Signing for Babies Workshop £60
This workshop is recommended for all parents, grandparents, carers, family members and early years professionals. No previous experience of Makaton is necessary.
This workshop is approximately 5 hours long, spread out over 5 sessions. On this workshop, you will learn up to 100 signs and symbols, using songs and fun activities.
You will receive a Makaton Signing for Babies Pocket Book, of all the signs and symbols of the vocabulary covered in the workshop.
You will also receive a Certificate of Attendance.
